Well, parching Arabic summer has gone followed by hot fall. Tender and warm winter has come. December 1, 2014 Dubai Miracle Garden was opened for visitors on UAE National Day’s Eve.

Dubai Miracle Garden.
The waltz of flowers

You are surrounded by huge glades seeming to be bright and colorful carpets. Either you are circling around among chamomiles, marigolds, petunias and geranium or they are. Flowers are everywhere. Your smelling captures marvelous floral fragrance which intensifies by the evening.

You’ve got a feeling the summer has just come: warm, tender and heedful of colours. But its winter outside, it’s December. Sure, the winter season in the Emirates is very nice. The air is warmed up to 28 degrees above the zero — the most comfortable temperature for walking.

To make a cold evaluation it is enough to have a look at children. They are the most extremely good judges. Kids run about the garden, sniff at flowers, laugh and play. Such kid’s delight means one thing: they enjoy being here.

The park has changed a little. It has been wonderfully improved in its appearance. It has got cared-for look, some finality. But there is one disadvantage - too many people. But it is fair enough: it is UAE National Day, it is a day off. Moreover this grand occasion has concurred with first days of the garden opening. There might be fewer visitors on weekdays.

You can come across to familiar floral installations: Walk of Hearts, Walk of Umbrellas, Burj Khalifa skyscraper floral copy, inverted cars (for some reason or other they have been painted but this is a matter of taste).  More floral houses and arbors have appeared.

There are also a lot of floral compositions and constructions such as a multinational scenic railway each car of which is decorated with a flag of one country or another. There are windmills, butterflies, abstract geometrical figures and even the Eiffel Tower ectype.

A lot of interesting fountains appeared this season. The most noticeable and spectacular one has a figure of an orient beauty. Girl’s cover is woven with bright flowers. Some brooks are flowing down from her right palm into a small pond. Looks very nice.

The most unusual and surreal fountain is a faucet hanging in the sky. Highly unusual. The secret of this construction is simple. The steam of water contains a transparent pipe holding it unsupported and delivering water inside it. Such “sky” fountains have been seen earlier in England, Spain, The USA, Canada, Belgium …. and now in Emirates!

I am eager to come back here on a week-day and at a leisurely pace to stroll about the park familiarizing myself with this scent-laden beauty.
Well, to be continued…:)
